Cable #16
In "Too Late for Tears Part 1," Cable struggles to hold himself together as the techno-organic virus consumes him, left without Hope to guide his next move. With Bishop's sudden attack and Hope mysteriously vanished—sent two years into the past without him—Cable must confront his unraveling mission while a younger, isolated Hope stumbles into one of Stryfe's cities and forms an unexpected bond with a boy named Emil, whose father has a dangerous secret. Written by Duane Swierczynski and brought to life with sharp, expressive art by Paul Gulacy, this issue deepens the stakes with emotional weight and tense, grounded action. The cover by Dave Wilkins captures the moment’s raw intensity.
