With the city unraveling around him, he barely escapes on a panel truck, only to be knocked unconscious by two feline-like assailants. Written and illustrated by Genndy Tartakovsky, with inks by Stephen DeStefano, colors by Scott Willis, and lettering by VC and Clayton Cowles, the cover by Tartakovsky captures the issue’s tense, kinetic energy.

When Misty doesn't show for a date, Cage goes looking for her. She proves not to be at the police station or at home. A prisoner in lock up tells him that all the heroes in town are disappearing. Three X-Men are at Misty's apartment and knock Cage through the window where upon crashing to the ground he is pursued by villains trying to kill him. He escapes on a panel truck only to be knocked out by 2 cat like creatures.
