Captain America #10
Captain America and the Falcon stand back-to-back against a crushing tide of skull-emblazoned, armed soldiers on Alan Davis and Mark Farmer's kinetic cover — Cap's shield raised and fist cocked, Falcon's red wings spread wide as weapons close in from every direction. It's a beautifully composed siege image that captures the two heroes at their most defiant, and a fitting visual for "Powerless Part 5" from Ed Brubaker's 2012 run. Davis's fluid, expressive linework gives the swarming threat real weight, making this tenth issue feel like a genuine pressure-cooker moment in the series.
