“Tojo's Terror Masters”

In "Tojo's Terror Masters," Captain America and Bucky race against time to stop a bizarre Japanese invasion plan involving a secret tunnel from Mount Fuji to the Marcus Islands, powered by volcanic energy. With the fate of the Pacific hinge on their mission, the duo uses stealth and quick thinking to sabotage the operation before the enemy’s massive transports can cross. The story is illustrated with dynamic precision by Vince Alascia, while Alex Schomburg’s striking cover captures the high-stakes tension of the mission.

The Japanese attempt to invade America by building a tunnel from Mt. Fuji to the Marcus Islands and using the power of the volcano to move the troop transports. When Cap and Bucky beat the details out of the officers, they head for a seaplane in Tokyo harbor to fly to the Marcus Islands before the troop transports get there. They place explosives at that end of the tunnel and the transports are destroyed.
