Captain America: Patriot #[nn]
In "Part One: Born on the 4th of July," the legacy of Captain America takes a dramatic turn when the original hero and Bucky fall to Baron Zemo’s ambush. With history rewritten and the world reeling from the deaths of iconic figures, President Truman introduces a new generation of heroes—including the Patriot, the Spirit of '76, and Bucky (Fred Davis)—as the All-Winners Squad rises to defend the nation. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by Frank Robbins, Frank Springer, and George Bell, with a cover by Mitchell Breitweiser, this pivotal issue redefines what it means to carry the shield in a changed world.
