Carl Barks Library of Walt Disney's Donald Duck Adventures in Color #3
Part of Gladstone's lovingly produced Carl Barks Library series, this 1994 collection brings Carl Barks's classic Donald Duck storytelling back into print in full color, with Susan Daigle-Leach's colorwork brightening every page. The cover — penciled and inked by Barks himself — shows Donald leading an older duck with a cane and the three nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie down a stone staircase beneath a hanging lantern, the whole group caught mid-stride in that wonderfully expressive Barks style. With "Frozen Gold" among the featured stories, this is a fine volume for any fan of the Duck universe's most celebrated era.
