Fábio Moon's cover for this 2016 Image Comics issue is a study in mood and shadow — an elderly man sits alone in an armchair, drink in hand, while a spotlight falls on a framed painting behind him depicting two armed figures and a woman holding flowers. Ghostly figures drift along the left edge of the composition, lending the whole scene a haunting, elegiac atmosphere. Matt Fraction and Fábio Moon's Casanova: Acedia continues to blend spy-thriller style with something far more introspective, and this seventh issue looks like it leans deep into that melancholy.
