Casper's Ghostland #23
In "Straw Pull," Casper the Friendly Ghost stumbles into a mysterious rush when he rescues Flufftail the Rabbit from quicksand—only to lose the wristwatch given by The Old Grandfather Clock and find himself back at a normal pace. As he watches Fatso and other forest animals moving at breakneck speed, all wearing identical gift wristwatches, Casper begins to suspect the timepieces are behind the sudden epidemic of hyperactivity. Warren Kremer handles both the interior art and the cover, capturing the whimsical yet urgent tone of this 1964 Harvey classic.

Stopping his accelerated pace long enough to quickly rescue Flufftail the Rabbit from a quicksand pit, Casper loses the wristwatch given to him by The Old Grandfather Clock and suddenly returns to a normal pace. Observing Fatso (who has worked himself skinny at a breakneck pace of exercise) and many of the forest animals who are also sporting gift wristwatches, Casper realizes a connection between the wristwatches and the epidemic of accelerated speed.
