Looming from the shadows behind her are grotesque undead figures and masses of skulls, creating a suitably ominous atmosphere for this French dark fantasy manga published by Senpai/Pika Édition in 2013. Volume 3 of Catacombes by Vald delivers exactly the kind of brooding, gothic tension the series promises.
