Catwoman #60
Catwoman #60 arrives in December 2006 with a striking Adam Hughes cover that puts Selina Kyle front and center in her sleek black costume, whip raised and a rifle in hand, standing over a downed figure whose outstretched, bound arm reaches toward the viewer. A blonde woman in black looks on warily from behind her, the whole scene set in a gritty alley lit by a single overhead lamp. With Will Pfeifer scripting and the López duo handling interior art, this late run of the series delivers the kind of sharp, street-level tension that made it such a compelling corner of the DC universe.
