The citizens of Paradise hope the Governor will grant them a city charter when his representative Patrick Doyle arrives to inspect the town—but they've asked the Cheyenne Kid to keep the peace while Doyle and his wife are visiting. When the gunslinger Snake Buttle threatens trouble, the Cheyenne Kid steps in, only to have the hardcases explode into an all-out brawl at the Empire Cafe just as the Doyles walk through the door.
