Chronos #1
In "Time Out of Time," Walker Gabriel is thrust into the surreal city of Chronopolous, where he learns that the shape-shifting fugitive Hayden Glass has broken free and is targeting his younger self in 1998. As Walker races to stop Glass, he uncovers a conspiracy involving a stolen time device, a dead time cop, and a ruthless boss named Vyronis—leading to a plunge into a time vortex that strands him in the old west, where he’s found by Nathaniel Kent. Written by John Francis Moore and illustrated by Paul Guinan, with inks by Steve Leialoha, colors by Mike Danza, and letters by Willie Schubert, the cover by Paul Guinan captures the story’s eerie, time-bending atmosphere.

Transported to null-time city Chronopolous, Walker Gabriel is told by Countess di Ravenna that psycho shape-shifter Hayden Glass has escaped prison and is time-traveling to 1998 to kill Walker's younger self. Walker intercepts Glass and drops him off in the Jurassic Era, leaving him there. Meanwhile Walker's younger self steals a time device from STAR Labs for his boss Vyronis. A time cop is killed by Vyronis, who grabs the device, intending to leave Walker as the fall guy. Walker and Vyronis both fall into a time vortex. Walker wakes up alone, in the old west, found by Nathaniel Kent.
