Paris has never looked quite this chaotic — Dan Boultwood's cover plants a pistol-toting man, a large bird, and a beret-wearing woman all piled onto a single Vespa scooter, with the Eiffel Tower looming pink and dreamy behind them. The combination of Boultwood's expressive cartooning and that rosy Parisian backdrop gives the whole scene a wonderfully absurd, caper-comedy energy. John Layman and Dan Boultwood's CHU continues to look like one of Image's most entertainingly offbeat series of 2021.
