Chuckles #37 is an anthology issue containing four stories. "The Comical Adventures of Breezy Ben and Dismal Dutchy" follows two characters who respond to a Navy recruitment drive and embark on a series of misadventures involving a Dreadnought, a buoy, and various maritime mishaps. "Little Tommy Treddles and His Toy Aeroplane" depicts a boy whose toy plane becomes entangled with a motor-cyclist's clothes line, leading to chaotic aerial antics. "O.K. Pokay, Mirth Merchant" shows a tramp named Teddy Pokay having his clothes stolen by a competitor named Cargo Cotley, resulting in comic complications involving sit-me-downs and stolen garments. "Chuckles' Coloured Cinema" presents a silent film story titled "The Terrible Twins," in which two identical boys named Bob and Bill create mayhem by impersonating each other and causing confusion throughout their day.
