Wacquet and Burton set an ambitious tone right from this first cover, pairing the intimate close-up of their protagonist with the sheer scale of the world they've built around him. If you're drawn to sprawling 2000-era European SF adventures with bold linework and cinematic scope, La Pierre d'Onyx looks like a very promising place to start.
