A 1998 French-language comic from Semic S.A., *Collection Image #9* introduces Voodoo, a dancer at a club run by the enigmatic Christian Charles, where other performers have vanished or turned up dead. As detective Chaney digs into the disappearances, Charles summons the malevolent entity Carrefour to eliminate him—unaware that Voodoo is being subtly shaped by unseen forces for a role in the coming clash. Written by Alan Moore and Nicole Duclos, with art by Al Rio and Mike Lopez, and a cover by Mike Lopez and Edwin Rosell, this issue blends noir suspense with occult intrigue, all rendered in a rich, layered style by a team of colorists including Alex Carbonero, Laura Martin, and David A. Rodriguez.

Voodoo commence à travailler comme danseuse dans un club tenu par Christian Charles où plusieurs danseuses ont disparues ou ont été retrouvées mortes. L'enquête du détective Chaney met Charles mal à l'aise et il fait appel à une entité maléfique appelée Carrefour pour le tuer. Pendant ce temps, les forces opposées à Carrefour semblent préparer Voodoo, à son insu, à devenir leur pion dans l'affrontement imminent entre Charles et Carrefour.
