"Splash Page and the Grey Rocket" features reporter Splash Page and companions Duke Jordon and Billy Drew pursuing the Grey Rocket, which crashes and is recovered by the villains. "Buck Jones and the Wild Girl of the Hills" depicts outlaw Hetty capturing Buck Jones and forcing him to help retrieve stolen gold, though Buck manages to escape with Hetty's assistance. Additional stories include "Don Deeds," concerning Hoo Sung and a rolling sphere threatening Kwung Chu City; "Billy Bunter Takes the Cake," a text story about the junior trying to outwit his rivals; and "Sammy Shuteye and the First Class Fare," a brief comic strip about Mars chocolate bars.
Buck Jones tracks a fugitive woman known as the Wild Girl of the Hills, who has outsmarted a gang of outlaws by sending one of their members to jail. As the gang splits up to hunt her down, Buck closes in on her, leading to a tense chase through the rugged terrain.
