This anthology issue contains three main stories: "Scamp," featuring a trained red dog who jumps into a pond to save a young boy named Clarence and later participates in a model yacht race where his antics cause chaos among the competing sailors; "Dr. Pennyfeather," in which the titular character engages in holiday conversation with various characters regarding his whereabouts and activities; and "Splash Page and the Missing Prince," wherein Splash Page and Jill rescue Prince Stefan from Hentian ambassadors and a criminal gang, with the prince eventually revealing his true identity and plans to return home. Additional stories include "Rusty Riley," "Shorty," "Little Archie," and "The Exploits of Hereward the Wake," a historical adventure tale about a medieval English challenger in a tournament.
