This issue of Comet is an anthology featuring several stories: "Scamp," in which a mischievous dog leads his father on an eventful outing involving a cat, a policeman, and a spilled bucket of water; "Penny-Feather," about a character who brings his pets to school and gets into trouble with a strict headmaster over a peculiar pet named Tomorrow; "The Amazing Adventures of Splash Page," following the ace reporter and his assistant Jill Brent as they investigate a Dutch seaman's disappearance and uncover a smuggling operation; "Rusty Riley" and "Shorty" (western adventures); and "The Newdaws," a humorous domestic comic about married life. The issue also includes "Billy Bunter," which concludes with the famous schoolboy character involved in a misunderstanding with his headmaster Mr. Quelch, and advertisements including a "Footballer's Badge Scheme" for the Y.R. Sauce brand.
