Comet #126 is an anthology comic featuring several stories: "Poochie" follows a dog who receives a Christmas hamper from his son and uses mincemeat to create false teeth so he can eat the food without teeth; "Shorty the Deputy Sheriff" shows the small lawman dealing with Christmas-related troubles in his town; "Jimmy's Magic Cat!" recounts how Jimmy and June acquire a magical cat named Tutty from wizard Ursush, leading to adventures as they try to hide the cat's magical nature from adults; and "Rusty Riley" and other features complete the issue, along with "Scamp," "Young Sir Nigel," and "Sammy Shuteye Makes Christmas Magic."
