Comet #130 is an anthology comic featuring multiple stories: "Poochie" follows a mischievous dog whose antics at dinner result in a blackfur mix-up and a hunting expedition gone wrong. "Shorty the Deputy Sheriff" shows the small character attempting to fix a fence and catch an escaped prisoner. "Jimmy's Magic Cat" is a longer story about a boy named Jimmy Watson whose magical cat Tutty helps him stand up to the cruel farmer Jacob Snatch, who mistreats animals; after confronting Snatch, Jimmy and his sister June are freed from servitude. Additional strips include "Rusty Riley," "Scoop," "Scamp," "Young Sir Nigel," and "Sammy Shuteye Wins the Grand Prix," along with a pen pal feature.
