Comics on Parade #17

Comics on Parade #17 is an anthology featuring multiple comic strips and stories. "Looy dot dope" follows a young boy who becomes entangled in the machinations of a lady chieftain who sends him and other children into the city of Adzi-Rabakak to act as her hostages and determine Abdul Akbar's defenses. "Billy Make Believe" depicts Billy and his friends tracking an outlaw, with Billy using tricks to outsmart the gunman and recover stolen boots. Additional features include a "How-To-Make-It" instructional section on creating a balancing toy, "Alice in Wonderland" adapted by Olive Day Scott and Ed Kuekes, and "Knurl the Gnome," in which Nikka takes Knurl shopping for new shoes.
