Conan se rend à Ophir et cherche à vendre l'étoile de Khorala à la reine Marala, mais le capitaine Garus lui dit que le roi a emprisonné la reine dans une tour. Conan et Garus la libère, mais sont ensuite poursuivis par le cousin du roi Rigello et ses hommes. Ils sont acculés dans une ruine pour un dernier round, mais ils sont finalement sauvés par les soldats fantômes qui ont servi l'ancêtre de Marala.
