“The Wizard”

In the mountainous realm of Berthalia, Conan answers a king’s desperate call to rescue his queen from a feared wizard. What begins as a perilous climb up a treacherous peak leads Conan to a shocking truth—beneath the wizard’s cloak lies a man named Symon, bound by love and secrets. Written by Michael Fleisher and brought to life with bold, dynamic art by John Buscema, this issue features a cover by Buscema that captures the grim intensity of the quest. A 60-cent comic in 1984, it’s a standout moment in the series where myth and emotion collide.
