Conan the King #31
In "Force of Arms," Conan the King #31 (1985), the fate of Tarantia hangs in the balance as Zenobia rallies the Aquilonian forces against the looming threat of Xantaus and his allies. With betrayal in the ranks—Conn uncovering Black Crassus’s alliance with Xantaus—and the tragic death of Dexitheus trying to protect Radegund, the tide of war turns as Conan secures the aid of the Aesir and the Cimmerians. Don Kraar’s gripping narrative, brought to life by Mike Docherty’s dynamic art and Geof Isherwood’s sharp inks, builds toward a clash of empires, while Michael Wm. Kaluta’s striking cover captures the epic scale of the coming storm.
