“"The Pronto Kid"”

In "The Pronto Kid," a 1946 Coo Coo Comics gem, the absurdity of wartime propaganda reaches cosmic heights when Oki Nanny, a goat revered by the Japanese as a secret weapon, accidentally ingests "Delayed Action Bomb[s] U.S.A." and meets a fiery end—landing in Hell where even Hitler finds the situation entertaining. Dan Gordon handles all interior art and lettering with his distinctive flair, while Jim Tyer’s cover captures the chaotic spirit of the tale in bold, expressive lines.
