☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue features three stories: "Supermouse" travels at rocket speed to Father Time's laboratory on Hourglass Mountain, where he attempts to turn back time to capture a villain but is told it cannot be done; "Wally Wolf in Grunts and Groans" sees the wolf planning to sneak into a wrestling match, where he encounters a Mighty Mastodon versus Bearded Brute contest and becomes so excited about wrestling that he forgets his original scheme; and "Gossipy Chadwick Finally Learns His Lesson," in which a gossipy chipmunk spreads false rumors that cause forest animals to believe he has a disease, until they teach him a lesson by dunking him in the river and claiming the marks are paint.
In a whimsical twist, Supermouse finds himself mistaken for an old man after being knocked out and waking up twenty years later, only to discover the world has changed beyond recognition. As he tries to clear his name and prove he’s still the hero he once was, he journeys to Father Time’s mountain lair to ask for a second chance.
Wally Wolf stumbles upon a wrestling match ticket and, determined to attend, devises a scheme to sneak in by pretending to be a fan. He gets caught up in a playful wrestling match with two other animals, using a trick grip he claims was taught by the notorious Terrible Turk—though it turns out the Turk was actually a pickpocket. With the ticket lost and the crowd roaring, Wally finds himself unexpectedly seated ringside, just in time for the action.
Butch and Buttercup mistakenly board a bus bound for the lumber camp instead of the gas works, leading to a frantic scramble to escape when they realize they’ve been sent to chop down trees—only to discover, to their shock, that the trees they’ve felled are actually telephone poles. As they’re pursued by angry workers and narrowly avoid being chopped up themselves, they must rely on quick thinking and a hidden hollow tree to stay out of trouble.
In a whimsical twist, Coo Coo, tired of being mistreated, flees to a newly opened bird sanctuary only to discover it's a trap set by a poacher. With the sanctuary under threat, Coo Coo must rally the birds to defend their home, turning an unlikely outsider into an unexpected hero.
