When Metron releases four aspects of the Anti-Life Equation into the universe, Darkseid and Highfather gather heroes to keep the Anti-Life Equation from causing the collapse of the Milky Way galaxy, allowing it to enter the universe. As Superman, Orion, Starfire, and Lightray protect Thanagar and Rann, John Stewart loses Xanshi, and Forager gives his life saving the Earth, Darkseid takes The Demon to the Anti-Life Equation's dimension, where, joined by Orion and Highfather, Dr. Fate directs their power to destroying the bridging dimension between the Anti-Life Equation's and theirs.
