This issue is an anthology containing three stories: a dramatic tale starring James Craig in which Wild Bill and the Marshal pursue outlaws who have kidnapped a woman named Ann and taken over a ranch, with a climactic confrontation involving gunfire and a wounded character; "Happy Homer," a humorous short featuring Homer and his friend Slim in a comedic dispute over a five-dollar loan; and "Legends of Paul Bunyan," an educational feature in which Paul Bunyan explains to a boy the dangers of forest fires by recounting a historical account of careless loggers whose smoldering campfire caused a devastating forest fire in the North Woods.
