King Cole, acting head of the Cole Detective Agency, is sent to Tamarac Lodge to guard the wedding gifts for Mrs. Hubert Van Olm’s niece, including the famed Capetown Diamonds. There, he encounters a suspicious guest, Harvey Doldson, who claims to be a friend of his cousin Dick Cole—and who later breaks into King’s room in a disguise, raising questions about his true intentions.
