Charles Soule and Ryan Browne launch this wildly imaginative series with a cover that sets the tone perfectly — a barrel-chested, wild-bearded wizard clutching a glowing crystal staff while casually cradling a koala, lightning crackling behind him against a smoldering cityscape. It's equal parts absurd and electric, promising magic, mayhem, and a hero (or villain?) who clearly plays by his own rules. This 2019 Glénat edition is a great entry point into one of comics' more gleefully unhinged series.
