Sean meets his estranged father in a restaurant. They barely exchange several barbed greetings before a creature appears in the street and shoots Sean's father. Before dying, Sean's father gives him the key to the crypt hidden in the basement of his house in China. Sean travels to China to bury his father and investigate the crypt.
