Daredevil #23
In "DD Goes Wild!", Daredevil finds himself trapped in a surreal Roman Coliseum set with his foe, the Gladiator, as the Marauder manipulates events for his own twisted ends. With the Maggia's elite gathered in the arena, the two adversaries clash—only for a sudden escape of a caged lion to shift the tide in a moment neither expected. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life with moody precision by Gene Colan, with inks by Frank Giacoia and lettering by Sam Rosen and Artie Simek, this 1966 issue delivers a tense, character-driven showdown. The cover, also by Colan and Giacoia, captures the dramatic clash in the arena with striking intensity.
