Daredevil: Unleash Hell - Red Band #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis issue is the first appearance of Morgan Whittier, the second character to bear the Muse mantle — a new, female incarnation of the Daredevil villain created by writer Erica Schultz and artist Valentina Pinti — making it a genuine origin-issue debut within an established villain legacy. It also represents the fullest expression of writer Schultz's multi-miniseries stewardship of Elektra Natchios as Daredevil, a character evolution that had been building across several consecutive limited series. As a Red Band release, it sits within a broader publishing-history moment in which Marvel formalized a new adults-only, polybagged format line — following its debut with Blood Hunt in 2024 — and this issue is among the earliest titles to exist exclusively within that framework rather than as an alternate edition of a standard book. The issue also dovetails with renewed reader and cultural interest in Muse as a character, given his concurrent appearance in the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again.

Announced by Marvel in September 2024, the series was conceived as the third consecutive Elektra-as-Daredevil miniseries from writer Erica Schultz, following Daredevil: Gang War (2023–24) and Daredevil: Woman Without Fear (2024). Schultz was paired with artist Valentina Pinti — known for her work on Blade and Immortal Thor — along with interior contributions from José Luís, with Paulo Siqueira providing the main cover. The project was positioned explicitly as a Red Band title from the outset, meaning it launched polybagged with a Parental Advisory rating as a print-only release, not available digitally or on Marvel Unlimited, which is consistent with Marvel's stated policy for the Red Band line.
