Dark Avengers #5
In Dark Avengers #5, Norman Osborn faces a crisis of control as he tries to calm the increasingly unstable Sentry after a harrowing battle in Latveria. With Clint’s accusations about his past threatening to unravel everything, Norman takes the stage for a live broadcast—only to be cut short by the sudden arrival of an Atlantean invasion on Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Karla Sofen shares a quiet moment with Noh-Varr, but her confession about the Avengers’ true nature hints at deeper fractures beneath the facade. Written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated with intense precision by Mike Deodato Jr., with colors by Rain Beredo and letters by Virtual Calligraphy and Cory Petit, the cover by Mike Deodato Jr. captures the tension in a single, striking image.

On returning from Latveria, Norman has to talk Sentry down from a freak out as he believed he was killed in the conflict with Morgan Le Fay. Norman goes on live television in order to respond to Clint's accusations about his shady past but the broadcast is interrupted by an Atlantean invasion of Los Angeles. Karla sleeps with Noh-Varr but lets it slip that the Avengers are really just a bunch of villains in heroic costumes.
