Darkness #24

Dec 2003 · Semic S.A. · 3,90 EUR

In Darkness #24, Jackie returns to Nicky Barucci’s house to discover him dead—murdered by the Triplets. Seeking vengeance, Jackie eliminates them and sends a clear message to Paulie, then maneuvers the old school lieutenants into a fragile alliance by offering to eliminate an Albanian drug warehouse on their turf. With Paulie silently observing from the shadows, Jackie’s gamble begins to unfold. Written by Paul Jenkins and Sophie Viévard, with bold artwork by Dale Keown and colors by Matt Milla, this issue delivers a tense, character-driven turn in the series. The cover, also by Dale Keown, captures the moment’s grim intensity.

Jackie returns to Nicky Barucci’s house to find him dead at the hands of the Triplets. Jackie kills them to send a message to Paulie. Jackie convinces Butcher to set up a meeting between him and the old school lieutenants who don’t like Paulie. Jackie makes a deal with them that they will support him as head of the family if he gets rid of an Albanian drug warehouse operating within their territory. The lieutenants agree to Jackie’s terms as Paulie watches from the shadows.
