“Chapter One”

In "Chapter One" of DC Comics Presents: Captain Atom #1, a 2012 release, Captain Atom wakes disoriented in an encampment, only to face a shocking revelation: Specialist Jenny Blake is actually Natasha Irons, a rebel ally who’s been working against him all along. Written by James Robinson and Greg Rucka, with bold art by Cafu and striking colors by Santiago Arcas, the story unfolds as Captain Atom begins to piece together disturbing memories of his past—memories tied to his time as Monarch and his manipulation by General Lane and Mirabai. As Royard closes in to capture him, the arrival of Major Force adds a new layer of tension to the unfolding conflict. The cover, by Cafu, captures the moment’s intensity.
