# Dead-Eye Western v2 #11 "The Jewel of the Prairies" features young Shep Wallace, who has left the prairie to seek adventure in Chicago, much to his father's disapproval. When Shep refuses to abandon his dreams of the city, his father is forced to take action to bring him home. The story unfolds with a cavalry fort under attack by Apache raiders, who are working with a rifle trader to obtain weapons. The soldiers must defend the fort and its inhabitants, including women and children, against the Apache assault while attempting to locate and stop the rifle trader's operations.
