This anthology issue contains multiple Western stories. "McKell's Two-Headed Dollar" follows an old cavalry sergeant's scheme to teach new recruits that gambling doesn't pay by using a trick two-headed silver dollar, leading to conflict when the coin causes an explosion and the sergeant is injured. "Codger's Bonus Ride" depicts a rodeo job opening where old cowhand Codger Marsh and young Pete Russell apply; Hanley hires Pete with a contract requiring him to stay through winter, while Codger is turned away. The final story shown, "Lightfoot," traces a boy named Jimmy who grows up at a trading post, is called "Thum Kid" by locals, and eventually leaves to join rustlers after his father's Native American friend is insulted, with Jimmy claiming he is also part Indian and refusing to return.
