Deadpool #0
Deadpool #0 (1998) kicks off with a gloriously absurd mission: the Merc with a Mouth hunts down Arnim Zola, only to face a bizarre army of poorly executed clones—each a hilariously lackluster version of some of the Marvel Universe’s most unimpressive deceased characters. Written by Joe Kelly and brought to life with sharp, chaotic energy by artist Yancey Labat and inker Sean Parsons, the issue’s cover by Labat and Parsons perfectly captures the tone: a free-for-all of deadpan humor and over-the-top action.
