“With Great Power Comes Great Coincidence”

In "With Great Power Comes Great Coincidence," Deadpool and Al—displaced in time and desperate to return to 1997—team up with the Great Lake Avengers and a grumpy Aunt May (played by Al) to navigate a chaotic past where Deadpool impersonates Peter Parker using his image inducer. As Kraven and a surprisingly energetic Peter Parker crew throw wrenches into the plan, Deadpool must twist events and manipulate Weasel into fixing the teleporter—no matter the cost to his friend’s future. With the timeline still intact and a relieved Watcher collapsing in the background, the chaos of time travel reaches its peak in this clever, self-aware adventure. Written by Joe Kelly and Stan Lee, illustrated by Pete Woods with inks by Nathan Massengill, Al Milgrom, Joe Sinnott, and John Romita, and colored by Chris Sotomayor and Digital Chameleon, the issue features a cover by Pete Woods and Nathan Massengill.

Present, Weasel and the Great Lake Avengers try to figure out how to bring Deadpool and Al back through time. In the past, Deadpool uses his image inducer to impersonate Peter Parker (Al plays a very grumpy Aunt May) and tries to convince Weasel to fix his teleporter to get back to the future. Kraven and a swinging party with Peter's pals get in the way but Deadpool is able to manipulate Weasel into helping him, and all he has to do is wreck his buddy's life and future well being to do so. Deadpool and Al make it back to 1997 with the timeline intact as a nervous Watcher collapses in relief.
