Deadpool #15
In "Want You to Want Me Part One: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Metaphors," Deadpool finds himself adrift—literally and figuratively—after a surreal tête-à-tête with a dead shark. Written by Daniel Way and illustrated by Paco Medina, with inks by Juan Vlasco and colors by Marte Gracia and Antonio Fabela, the issue follows his chaotic journey after being rescued from a pirate ship by a cruise liner, only to flee when a crew member recognizes him. After a wild rollerblading escape and a moment of California-style relaxation, he sees Cyclops on TV offering sanctuary to mutants at Utopia—misinterpreting it as a personal invitation to join the X-Men. The cover by Jason Pearson captures the absurdity of the moment with sharp, surreal flair.
