Deadpool Max #10
Deadpool Max #10 (2011) delivers a gloriously unhinged twist on the merc with a mouth’s chaotic routine, as a fired CIA handler’s desperate ploy to regain control leads to the fake creation of Hydra—only for the ruse to spiral into something far more dangerous. Written by David Lapham and brought to life with wild, kinetic energy by Kyle Baker, whose art and colors amplify the issue’s absurdity and intensity, this is Deadpool at his most unpredictable. The cover by Kyle Baker captures the madness perfectly, a fitting frame for a story where the line between fiction and chaos blurs.

Bob has been fired from the CIA and Deadpool is given a new handler. Since Deadpool is certifiably nuts (and doesn't remember that Bob was fired), he makes life for the new guy exceedingly difficult. When Hydra rears its ugly head once again, DP leaves his handler behind as he races off to face his arch nemesi. (Let me explain: Hydra doesn't exist. It's a fake organization Bob uses to control Deadpool's actions. So to get DP back, Bob, with some help from Taskmaster, CREATES Hydra. It works. Bob gets Deadpool (and his job) back. Taskmaster (much to Bob's chagrin) gets Hydra).
