A bold, irreverent energy leaps right off this 2014 Titan Comics release, with a striking young woman in a whimsical bear-ear hat and punk-inflected style commanding the cover with a casual salute — attitude and charm in equal measure. Montynero and Dowling deliver what Mark Millar himself called "Brilliant! Genuinely original," and the vivid orange-red backdrop and graffiti-style lettering make it impossible to look away. If you're after something that wears its punk-rock heart on its sleeve, Death Sentence looks every bit the part.
