Deathlok Special #2
In "Jesus Saves," Michael—a cyborg with a fractured past—steps into the shadows as a vigilante, finding unexpected refuge with a man named Jesus after a rescue. As Cybertek's surveillance tightens and a new threat emerges in the form of Mainframe and his squad, Michael’s journey leads him to Estrella, where his history with Ryker begins to unravel. Written by Gregory Wright and Dwayne McDuffie, with dynamic art by Jackson Guice and inks by Scott Williams, this 1991 Marvel special blends tense action with personal stakes, all under a striking cover by Butch Guice.

Michael begins a life as a robot vigilante, and saves a man named Jesus. Jesus lets Michael hide in his apartment, as Michael regroups and tries to figure out his next move. Surveillance teams from Cybertek watch Jim and Tracy, waiting for Michael to make contact. Cybertek then hires Mainframe and his squad to take Michael down at Coney Island. They are unsuccessful. Michael then heads to Estrella, where Ryker was using him prior to his taking over the cyborg's functions.
