Derreck Wayne Jackson's Strapped #3
In "The Reacquaintance Blues," Derreck Wayne Jackson crafts a tense, emotionally charged chapter in his noir-tinged series *Strapped*, diving into the haunted past of Calvarone’s lover Cassandra. Flashbacks reveal a brutal chain of betrayals—Cassandra fleeing Calvarone after witnessing a murder, a priest’s death witnessed by young Rudi, and the simmering rage of Vintage Cross, who once loved Rudi and now seeks retribution. When Lt. Richtor arrives at Cassandra’s door, she strikes first. As the Doll urges Strapped to stay away from Melissa, he ignores the warning, plunging into danger when she’s kidnapped by Calvarone. With Jackson handling every aspect of the art, lettering, and storytelling, this 1995 Gothic Images Studio release delivers a raw, personal narrative where every shadow holds a secret.
