Dexter's eccentric Uncle Middleton arrives with a series of outlandish pranks and gag inventions that leave the boy both baffled and exhausted. As the uncle's antics escalate—from a shocking handshake to a pie filled with fake cream—Dexter struggles to keep up, only to unexpectedly earn his uncle's admiration for taking the jokes in stride.

Dexter tries to impress a girl at the carnival by playing hard to get, but his plan backfires when he ends up stuck on the Ferris wheel with Milly, who’s determined to keep him there. As the ride malfunctions and the others grow concerned, Dexter must navigate his growing discomfort and the escalating tension between his crush and his friend’s cousin.

Cathy and Skitch arrive at a masquerade ball, where Cathy is dressed as Scarlett O'Hara and Skitch as a pirate, both eager to impress. Skitch’s mysterious friend Mick Demoan shows up in a Rhett Butler costume, sparking a playful game of flirtation and mistaken identity when Cathy, disguised as Scarlett, dances with him—only to realize too late that her partner is the very person she’s been trying to impress.

Dexter’s boss, frustrated by his employee’s distracted mood, snaps at him for neglecting work—just as a female customer storms off in a huff, leaving Dexter heartbroken. When two unnamed crooks hijack the gas station, Dexter accidentally foils their robbery in a chaotic, oil-slicked scramble, earning unexpected praise and a chance to win back the customer’s favor.
