Pieter De Poortere whisks his round little hero off to the glitz of Hollywood in this fifth Dickie adventure from Glénat. The cover says it all: a darkened movie theater where Dickie himself has clambered up onto the stage, snapping a photo of a luminous silver-screen goddess whose flowing white dress billows around her. It's a charming, deadpan scene that captures De Poortere's signature mix of minimalist linework and gentle absurdist humor — a small figure in awe of (and perhaps a little too close to) the dream factory's biggest illusions.
