Poor Dickie can't catch a break — this 2016 Glénat volume finds the round, hapless hero caught in a tractor beam alongside a very bewildered sheep, the two of them being hoisted skyward by a classic flying saucer on a starlit night. Pieter De Poortere's clean, cheerful linework makes the absurdity feel utterly charming, with a farmyard fence and a crescent moon completing the scene below. Dickie dans l'espace promises the same gentle, deadpan humor fans of the series have come to love, now with an extraterrestrial twist.
