Johnny encounters a German patrol and is knocked out, but they decide to let him go with their agent Holtz posing as a Russian prisoner to learn where the Russian forces are located. Johnny and Holtz eventually find a Cossack camp, but the Cossack commander sees the stolen German horse Johnny is riding and accuses him of being a spy.
